Adriana Mendoza, La Grande, was appointed to the Oregon State Board of Higher Education in August 2004 and was reappointed in June 2005.

Ms. Mendoza currently attends Eastern Oregon University where she is pursuing her Master of Business Administration and expects to graduate in December 2007. Mendoza graduated from EOU in June 2006, magna cum laude, with an Honors baccalaureate of arts degree in business administration with a minor in philosophy. She was named EOU's 2006 Outstanding Philosophy Student of the Year. She has been actively engaged in student government throughout her time at EOU, working on issues such as financial aid, tuition, and postsecondary funding.

Mendoza has been employed at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service since June 2004. She currently works fulltime on the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest in Baker City as a Contracting Officer in the Student Career Experience Program (SCEP).

Born and raised in Michigan, Mendoza follows the lead of her parents, Dr. Abel and Sherry Mendoza, and her grandmother, Audrae (Coles) Schreeck, all of whom attended EOU.
